Angel Biscuits
5 cups self rising
flour, sifted before measuring
1/3 cups sugar
1 teaspoon baking
soda
1 cup vegetable
shortening
2 cups buttermilk
2 packages dry yeast,
mixed with ¼ cup warm water
Sift first 3
ingredients together; ad remaining ingredients. Mix as for biscuits (also
knead)
Store
in refrigerator in airtight container. Use as needed up to 2 weeks. Roll out: cut. Place on greased baking
sheet: let rise Bake at 425-450 degrees for 10-12 min.
